Science Corner: T Antigen tumor studies...

So, Becca has asked me to write a science corner...well recently the Lord has enabled me to do some work on much delayed T antigen tumor studies looking at infiltration of T effector cells into pancreatic tumors in mice. So praise the Lord, we got some results happening, I basically injected mice with antibody, T cells and pre-treated them with a "drug" that would remove any T cells in the host mice from interfering with the tumor response (Lord willing!). On Day 5 I harvested the pancreas from these mice and mashed up their pancreatic lymph nodes in a little sieve type thing and then labelled them with more antibodies to analyse by flow cytometry. Looks like the results aren't that clear cut yet, probably have to repeat, but maybe something promising in terms of tumor response.

Anyway that's a short snapshot of what took 5 days including the actual experiment (3 days) and 2 days of data analysis sitting in front of a computer until my eyes were all blurry!

God bless
Claude
